Limited by a large circle of hills, from the bottom of the Gulf of Lecques to climb to Le Castellet, along the gorge and return to Ollioules Sanary, Bandol appellation (1 550 ha) has nothing in common with that of Cotes de Provence. But again, it is the red that hold the upper hand. Mainly from the fabulous variety that can be Mourvèdre (which brings bouquet, body and roundness), good red wines of Bandol are exceptional. Further, elegant, powerful, bold and very aromatic, they give all their true measure after several years of aging. Those enjoy excellent value for money. The roses, frank and fruity, deserve a good point, and whites.
